Dragon Age: Origins Review
I went into Dragon Age: Origins with mixed feelings. After my initial excitement over the announcement of the game a few years ago, my thrill was muted by the marketing and most of the emphasis from media sites and from Bioware/EA themselves. Using Marilyn Manson’s “This is the New Sh-t” in their marketing seemed curious, when you consider the song is talking about presenting something new, but underneath it’s the exact same thing he/they have been releasing for years. That sentiment didn’t exactly ooze confidence that Dragon Age would be something special. Ironically, the song does tell the truth in some ways; Origins is the new sh-t. It just so happens that Bioware’s sh-t is probably better than most other RPG developers could hope for.
