EA SPORTS Grand Slam Tennis Review

I play tennis at club level and was pretty excited about playing GST.
Here’s what I’ve learned so far:
1) Don’t expect to be a pro at this game from day one just because you play the real game
2) I started with the MotionPlus and Nunchuk. Bad choice. It was unpredictable and even the smallest movements resulted in unintentional onscreen moves. Playing with regular controller is much more fun and controllable.
3) The subtleties with timing the ball are great. It took me a few days to start hitting down the line backhands and sharp cross-court forehands. The drop shot takes time to master. Still trying a way to hit aces.
4) The points can be long and it takes some time to start hitting clean winners. Again don’t expect your tennis skills to start helping you beat the pros in GST.
5) The one takeaway to the real game, is the speed and reaction time. High levels of hand-eye coordination are required.
All in all a great game for the tennis enthusiast. Non-enthusiast will appreciate how difficult tennis can be.
